NPSOT-Wilco Plant Sale Tips; Updated Plant List

The final draft of our Spring 2026 Plant Sale availability list is done and has been posted in the in person section of our sale info page @ 2026 Spring Native Plant Sale.

NPSOT-Wilco Plant Sale Tips

We have received questions about plant sale mechanics as well as the usual plant availability questions.  Here are some insights for those attending the sale.

We open the sale at 11:00am sharp.  The early-birds show up before 10:00am with folding chairs and wagons.  Most customers have a version of the plant availability list printed out with their most wanted plants highlighted.

The list acts as somewhat of a pattern for how the sale is laid out.  There are two pavilions.  Facing them, the one on your left, adjacent to the HOLD area, houses the plants listed in the annuals and perennials portion of the list.  Everything in that pavilion is $5 (4-inch pots) or $15 (1 gallon pots).  They are organized alphabetically by Genus and species.

The pavilion on your right, adjacent to the checkout (PAY HERE) tents, holds the trees and shrubs priced at $25 (one gallon) and $45 (3/5 gallon) pots. These are also arranged alphabetically by Genus and species.  Within this pavilion you will find the other groups on the plant list — grass and grass-like, vines & groundcovers, and those marvelous native Texas cacti.

Our HOLD area is managed by the wonderful members of the Round Rock High School Plant Club.  They will give you plant trays to put your plants in as you shop, give you a number and take your plants to the HOLD area so you don’t have to worry about fellow shoppers shopping in your tray. And they will help you load your plants when you are ready to depart.

And if you are in line before 11:00, I make it a point to talk with each of you to strategize on which plant on your list you need to go for first.

I, and our incredible, outstanding volunteer plant sale team, hope to see you there!
