Tonkawa Chapter News-Doug Tallamy on Jan 8

News from the Tonkawa Chapter:

The Tonkawa Chapter’s in-person meeting on January 8, 2024 will have guest speaker Dr. Doug Tallamy, co-founder of Homegrown National Park.

Dr. Tallamy will join the meeting remotely, not in person.

The meeting will be at Barrow Brewing, 108 Royal St. in Salado and will start promptly at 5:30pm with the guest presentation.

Due to technology limitations, for folks who cannot attend in person, Dr. Tallamy’s presentation will be recorded and available for viewing on the Tonkawa Chapter YouTube channel at a later date.

Texas Riparian & Stream Ecosystem Workshop-Salado Creek Watershed, Nov 21

News from the Texas Riparian Association:

A one-day workshop in Salado, Texas, on November 21, 2023, 8am-4:30pm. Training focuses on the nature and function of stream and riparian zones and the benefits and direct impacts from healthy riparian zones.

Meeting Reminder: Nov 9 Chapter Meeting: “Rare Plants of Williamson County” with Bill Carr

Please note: our in-person location this month is the Round Rock Public Library, not the Georgetown Public Library.

Join NPSOT-Williamson County on Thursday, November 9, 2023, when our featured topic will be “Rare Plants of Williamson County” with Bill Carr.  Free and open to the public. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM.  Our guest speaker’s presentation begins after a short business meeting. Read more about this month’s topic in our previous meeting announcement.

This month’s presentation will NOT be recorded for YouTube.
