IMPORTANT=> Sept 29 Update: See our 2024 Fall Native Plant Sale page for the most up to date plant lists and information about the in-person sale and the pop-up online sale. (The post below was first published in July 2024. It will not be updated with new lists.)

Save the date! The NPSOT–Wilco Chapter’s Fall Native Plant Sale will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, 3005 County Road 175, Leander, TX 78641.  We will be in the pavilions (Boulder East and Boulder West) near the Quarry Splash Pad. Sale hours will be from 10:30 AM – 2 PM 11:00 AM – 2 PM or until we run out of plants.

Most of the plants will be in one-gallon sized pots, which is appropriate for fall planting.  At this point, we are not planning on having an online pre-sale of trees as we have in the past few years. We are not doing away with online sales forever. It just doesn’t look feasible for us right now.

See our tentative sale list at this link => 2024.07.17-Fall 2024 Sale-preliminary list.PDF. (Can’t open the list? See the note at the end.) This is not our usual descriptive list with prices and sizes; that will come in October. Several plants on the list are the offspring (grown from seeds) of our native plant rescues in the county. Those will be noted in the October list.

If you are seeking plants that are not on the list, please send an email to me at [email protected] and I’ll hunt for it.

We only sell Texas native plants, and we try to make sure everything we sell is well-adapted to grow in Williamson County.

Hope to see you there!

Updated Fall 2023 Plant Sale Availability List

— by Beth Erwin

Plant Shoppers,

Please take note that we have published a September 20th update to the availability list.  No plants have been added.  Only one plant has been removed.  That is Western Soapberry, Sapindus saponaria.   You will find the availability list PDF on our Fall 2023 Native Plant Sale page.

The most significant changes are the addition of height-size notes, especially in the tree section.  Many of the trees are quite tall and may require you to take extra steps to be able to transport them in your vehicles at time of pickup.  Note that the heights listed are for the plant above the soil line so the overall height for transport needs to also accommodate an additional 8 to 14 inches of pot depth.

Happy hunting,
Beth Erwin
