Palmetto State Park is an unusual botanical area resembling the tropics more than Central Texas. Most notably, a stand of dwarf palmetto (Sabal minor) plants is found in the park’s ephemeral swamp. See all the details and where to meet in the blog post announcement published September 12, 2024.

This field trip is canceled due to construction in Old Settlers Park, Round Rock.  Our next field trip is Sunday, December 1, in River Ranch County Park.
