Last call to volunteer at the plant sale on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Champion Park Pecan Pavilions, 3830 Brushy Creek Road, Cedar Park, TX 78613. We would love to have your help — many hands make light work!
Helping with our chapter’s native plant sales is a great way to get to know native plants and other chapter members. Native plant “beginners” are welcome!
Areas where help is needed are:
Setup – starts at 8:00 am
Sales – start at 11am, ends at 2pm
Clean up – 2:00pm to 3:00pm
We’re also in need of a “traffic director” to guide people over to the pickup area if they are arriving to pick up plants they ordered from our online sale.
Volunteer with us Sunday, April 7, from 8:30am-12:30pm in north Round Rock as we rescue plants such as Penstemon cobaea and Callirhoe involucrata var. lineariloba from a site prior to construction. There is street parking available next to the site.

Join NPSOT-Williamson County on Thursday, April 11, 2024, when our featured topic will be “Drought-Tolerant Native Plants: Nothing Works Like Natives” with Randy Pensabene. Free and open to the public. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Our guest speaker’s presentation begins after a short business meeting.
==> This month, if you attend in person, we’re at the Georgetown Public Library, 2nd floor, 402 West 8th St, Georgetown, TX 78626. Come early (6:30 PM) for expert advice, to check out the seed swap board, or just to visit.
About our speaker: Randy Pensabene is past president of the Native Plant Society of Texas, Williamson County Chapter, and is involved in the chapter’s native plant garden projects and native plant sales. She has also converted her yard from the typical hedges and non-natives to a beautiful low-water, National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat using Texas native plants. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for our Texas native plants and teaching others about their beauty, drought-tolerance, and benefits.
Agarita, Mahonia trifoliolata
At every meeting, we give away a book — about native plants or the meeting topic — to one randomly chosen in-person attendee!
Have an idea for a speaker? Let Program Leader Susie Hickman know via email to wilco-chapter@npsot.org.
